The ICST building project marks an important step in the continued modernization of the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb. Developed on the site of former auxiliary buildings, the project creates an opportunity to enhance both the Institute’s infrastructure and the overall spatial quality of its campus.

The new facility will accommodate the SRCE HR-ZOO data center, the Center for Informatics and Computing, the Department of Electronics, and the Institute’s central IT support services. By bringing together these key units within a contemporary environment, the building will serve as a central hub for digital infrastructure and technological support, reinforcing the Institute’s research capacities.

Designed with sensitivity to its surroundings, the ICST building respects the existing scale and spatial organization of the campus. The project contributes not only functional improvements but also a more coherent and refined architectural presence within the Institute complex, supporting its long-term development as a leading scientific institution.
