The Blu Mare Hotel is located in Novigrad’s historic center near key landmarks and integrates seamlessly into its surroundings. Designed as four interconnected cubic volumes inspired by the historic core’s dimensions, the structure combines simple geometry with a park separating it from the city wall. The façades, made of patinated exposed concrete, emphasize geometric purity, while the sea-facing side has movable panels and sliding glass walls that create loggias. The five-story building includes a lobby, restaurant, and rooms on the ground floor; wellness, a wine cellar, and technical spaces in the basement; additional rooms on the upper floors; and a recessed third floor with a roof terrace. The design blends functionality with a minimalist aesthetic, respecting Novigrad’s heritage.
